In 1999 truck driver Gary Rayburn was commissioned by God to begin a tape ministry. His inspiration from God came through the I-20 for Jesus Ministries. I-20 for Jesus Ministries was founded by Missionary Ray Sisk of Appling, Georgia.
In 1966 God spoke to Ray when his wife, Jean told him she and their 2 daughters were leaving him. Ray said, "Now you talk about a shock! Ray and his wife went for a drive to talk things over when they saw a church and decided to attend that church. It was at this church that Ray gave his heart to Jesus Christ and made a commitment to serve the Lord in whatever capacity He wanted him to do. This is when Ray started a gospel tape ministry. He started putting these tapes out for over the road drivers to pick up and listen to while on the road.
*Gary Rayburn now Chaplain of Receiving In God Ministries was in Georgia and picked up one of these tapes and as he listened to the tape, God revealed to Gary that he was to begin a tape ministry. Gary was reluctant at first. He finally consented to give the tape ministry a try and in October 2000 Gary began a tape ministry to over the road truck drivers called "The Lonesome Road". One thing led to another and now Gary distributes and sends out approximately 15 thousand CD's a month through Receiving in God Ministries. Gary attributes this ministry to God and to Ray Sisk who has been his mentor teaching him the ins and outs of how to do an effective tape ministry.
Ray has switched gears over the last few years and is doing a different kind of ministry called the "Christian Soldier". This ministry is based on the apostle Paul's in his letter to Ephesus. Ephesians 6:12 Paul writes, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Christian Soldiers is a ministry that equips Christians to war against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

A Word From Rig Ministries
A true story is told about a well that was dug in the middle of the desert. A small hut was built over the well so a weary traveler who was thirsting to death could find it and live. It was miles away from the nearest water. Only desperate people arrived at this desolate place. When a traveler found the hut, there was a jug of water by the hand pump with a note on it. The note said, *If you pour the water from the jug into the pump, this deep well will give you all the water you need, but you must pour the water from the jug in first to prime the pump. When you leave, be sure and fill the jug up again or the next traveler will not be able to get any water from the well.
Each desperate person had to make a decision whether to drink the water in the jug, or to take the risk of pouring it down the old hand pump in order to prime it. Each time they poured the water out by faith, they knew if the old well was dry, they would die in the desert of thirst. But the fact that the jug still had water in it gave them hope that someone had traveled that way before and left water in the jug. Once the water was poured out by faith into the pump, they would desperately start pumping the handle and soon, as much water as they could drink would come gushing out. They had enough water to wash, fill their canteens and drink their fill. But they had to be responsible enough to remember to fill the jug before leaving so the next traveler could get to the water. If only of them refused to fill the jug, the water would be lost from that time on.Receiving In God Ministries is that well in the desert where you can come and receive Living water which is Jesus Christ. The bible says, In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water - John 7:37-38. The desert in this story symbolizes the vacuum that God has created in every human. Nothing apart from Him will ever fill this vacuum.
